Kayte Connelly has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management. A schooled social worker and public administrator, Ms. Connelly became integrally involved in the community development through the pursuit of a public radio station license for songwriters in the Lehigh Valley in the late 70's. Having worked in business, education, with special populations, government and heavily in the arts, Ms. Connelly has honed skills and has acted as a successful change agent, designing systems that assist organizations in dreaming big and accomplishing those dreams. Using a holistic approach, Ms. Connelly enlists your vision to integrate yourself into your respective global community and invites you to stretch that vision.

Never alone, networks of key individuals have served as mentors to her success and are called upon to assist when relevant.

Direct hands-on practical experiences include: strategic planning, market analysis, governance, scheduling, program enrichment, event management and production, training, public relations, grant writing, networking, membership development, volunteer and other administrative related functions. Additionally, systems were created for project management, profit improvement and cost reduction, analysis management information reporting, operation and organizational review, performance management, contracts administration, human resource management, compensation and incentive plan development.

Organizational highlights have included the development of: Low Vision Clinics, Head Start Parent Education Programs, campground capital improvement, creation of two different art galleries (one a co-op), collapsing a parochial chamber of commerce and merging it with a larger economic region, creating a comprehensive board development training program, expanding a major jazz festival from 3 to 10 days (18 to 138 events at 35 different locations), serving as advocate for more than 300 arts organizations, producing a monthly TV show, a major awards ceremony televised for a BET J magazine program, growing an organization from $29,000 in the hole to $1.6 million in 7 years and more.

Connelly Named NAWBO Philadelphia Chapter Member of the Year

Kayte Connelly was presented with the Member of the Year award by the National Association of Women Business Owners Philadelphia Chapter at the Annual Meeting June 19, 2008.

Connelly had been instrumental in the development and adoption of by-laws and articles of incorporation for The NAWBO Greater Philadelphia Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs, a 501 c)3 organization to compliment their existing c)6 designation. 

In addition, Connelly proposed a membership incentive opportunity to increase first year retention.  The SISTORS Program (Sisterly Introduction to Systems guiding you Towards Obtaining Riches Successfully) is designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment encouraging new and existing members to nurture each other in setting and attaining their business and leadership goals.

Connelly Presents at 2nd National Nonprofit Congress (June 2008)

Kayte Connelly recently joined more than 500 representatives from State Nonprofit Associations and other supporting organizations in Washington DC where she facilitated a roundtable conversation on the Coaching and Philanthropy Initiative.  This program, sponsored in part by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, is coordinated by Compass Point.

Activities included a robust curriculum of key management, technology and grassroots efforts and included on site visits to several large successful nonprofits in the general vicinity as well as a celebration at the Center for Lobbying and the Public Interest.  The convention concluded with a visit by representatives with their elected officials on Capitol Hill.

On May 27, 2007 in Clark Park, Philadelphia, Kayte Connelly joined the "Jazz Roundtable: Is jazz for whites only? Is 'smooth jazz' destroying Black Culture? Is jazz in a crisis? Connelly receives Certification as a ChangeWorks! Change Management Practitioner

After attending classes through the summer, a three day intensive in Charlotte NC culminated with Kayte Connelly receiving her certification as a ChangeWorks! Change Management Practitioner. Joining Barbara and Ray Giemza, Executive Suite Partners, Raleigh NC; Mike Hourigan CSP, speaker, author and satirist, Charlotte, NC; Maggie Mowery, aka Maggie the Coach, Iowa City, IA; and John Ace Underwood, CMI, Selling Edge, Tuscon AZ, the classes were led by noted author, corporate trainer, human resource expert and thought leader, T. Falcon Napier, who is the creator of the MasterStream Method.

Connelly Elected to Art-Reach Board

Art-Reach is a Delaware Valley nonprofit cultural service organization that helps underserved audiences to experience arts and cultural programming and that serves as a community resource by increasing accessibility to cultural venues and events. Art-Reach's primary activities to overcome financial and physical barriers and make the arts more accessible to those we serve are:
  • Distributing donated and discounted tickets for admission to museums, cultural institutions and arts performances;
  • Bringing the arts to our constituents directly, through in-facility events at participating agencies and schools;
  • Serving as a resource for information on accessibility of area arts venues; and
  • Partnering with both the arts and human service communities to develop ongoing programs intended to enhance individuals' quality of life.

Spring 2007  brought some exciting accomplishments.
- Connelly contributed a chapter, “Build Your Coalition to Expand Your Piece of the Pie” to the Ultimate Success Guide e-book, joining 80 authors providing over 400 pages of simple, direct, and effective advice for improving virtually every aspect of your life.
- She was approved by the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations as one of 13consultants to facilitate the “Standards for Excellence: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector.”
